Thanks to Salsa Cycles for building the Ti El Mariachi. This really is a dream come true! Look for a ride report right here on the DirtBlog soon. Until then, I'll be the one out on the trails with the unmistakable smile plastered across my face...
Happy trails!
Cheers,

OH SO PURDY!
Nice job on the build MG. Looking forward to seeing it in person (at the start line at least)
nice ride mg. see you in a couple weeks.
Very nice bike. As always, Salsa delivers.
WHAT IS THAT CRANKSET?!? Double, with a non-drive pinch setup? Who makes it?
What a beaut!
Thanks guys. munsoned, that's an FSA Afterburner 386 27/40 compact double. It's super sweet. In fact, it gets even cooler the closer you look at it, with details like a shot-peened back side finish, with the other three sides polished on the arms. It's hollow-forged aluminum too, so it's stiff and relatively light.
I'm loving the bike so far. Haven't been able to resist riding it each of the past four days. Oh, and my Fox fork is on the front now too... I did that last night and rode it that way for the first time today. Wow. The 10mm shorter axle-to-crown length of the Fox relative to the same travel Manitou is easy to feel and makes a big difference.
Steve, sadly I probably won't have the bike with me at T.I. I'll be on my Vaya for that. Still looking forward to seeing you, Ben and the rest of the crew.
Thanks again to all.
Cheers,
MG
