155 Number 3 is in the books...

Sarpy Road -- about 135 miles in, if memory serves. All photos: CVO

Sunshine on my shoulders -- The picture doesn't do this sunrise justice...

It was absolutely perfect for the 155 this year. On the bike at 4:15am in Lincoln. Off the bike 155.8 miles later, at 8:30pm, at Ponca State Park, on the South Dakota border.

It was the best day of the year thus far for me. Great friends, incredible roads, a 100-percent tailwind and fabulous weather conspired to create an experience that will be talked about with reverence for years to come.

I'll write more later, but right now, it's time to go to bed. I'm tired, but it feels so good.

Thank you so much to all that participated, and especially to CVO, Hoss, James D. and Showen for their planning and legwork to make it possible for us to have the experience we had.

Life is good when you get to spend your days on a bike with your best friends. I recommend it highly.

Thanks again for a great weekend.

"Sunshine on my shoulders".......how appropriate! Hope your shoulder gets to feeling better. Good talking to you last night, Sunshine.

Love you too Mom. I thought you'd like that.

Emily, you were the class of the field -- the first female to complete the 155. And you didn't just ride it. You kicked ass.

I'm kinda' OK with sitting at my desk today... aaaaaaahhh, memories.

Cheers,
MG
