diggin' it in davey...

... the mwc ride took an unexpected turn last night -- to the northeast, and davey, nebraska, to be exact. door to door i had about 37 miles, and at the half-way point we even got to hang in the davey bar, puff on some secondhand smoke (good stuff, that secondhand smoke...) and suck on the coldest budweisers in lancaster county. when in rome, right?

it was taco night at the davey bar, but we got there too late to get that going, so i munched a couple bags of BBQ lays with my cold bud -- they go together quite nicely, it turns out. i think i'd forgotten that pearl of wisdom at some point in my past.

with a nice buzz in-head, we took off for home at roughly sunset. i sure do like red blinky lights! bonsall got the bit between the teeth as we came back into town. he was flying, and unfortunately i didn't get to say 'goodnight' to anyone else because we never saw anybody again. since jeff and i live on the same street, it worked out good for us to come into town together.

all-in-all, it was a purdy good way to spend a tuesday night! thanks to all who partook in the adventure. it was super fun!

jp and i are headed to branched oak tonight, Omaha tomorrow night, i probably won't ride friday (other than commuting), then we're racin' both weekend days -- warrior's cup saturday, state games sunday. and it looks like it's gonna' be a hot one!

we'll see who can hold up in the heat i guess...

cheers,
mg
