MG's new toy...

... I'm trying to get one of my clients (a prominent lighting tools manufacturer) to develop a line of bike lights. Here's a little proto I've put together using a super-cool LED cop light, a gun mount for the light, and a cateye headlight mount I scrounged from MWC world HQ.

This is one I've gotta' let Charlie Marti see...

Enjoy,
MG

Not even close to an original idea, sorry mg. Good cobbling but here's a link to something I picked up in 1986 in Missoula, MT. http://members.cox.net/rustycar/My%20light%20holder.jpg Why do I know the date because that was when I bought my first ATB bike, we didn't call mountain bikes back then. A Jamis Explorer XR, 18 speeds of sherman tank like ride. Still got it and ride it almost everyday to walk the hounds.

Yeah, we used to sell that exact mount at Cycle Works. Congratulations on finding it.

I didn't claim to be the first, but then again I'm not using a shitty 2AA mag lite either. I thought we graduated away from those in about 1987, right?

TRUE! Are you saying the old mag light would be a little sketchy for you hitting the tooth gap after dark. I am willing to loan it to you, if you want. I am all about my NightRider HID right now. *** I am not even sure a car would see you on the road with my antique ***. Man, I was just feeling angry at the world last night. I am over it.
See this weekend !?!

hell yeah i'll see ya' this weekend! i'll bring my streamlight contraption to show ya' too. you'll dig the mount. it's a picatinny-style rail mount that allows you to mount a streamlight tactical light onto an AR-15, M16 or any other rail-equipped gun. the rail width just happens to be about the same as many popular slide-on style light mounts. pretty cool...

cheers,
