Crappers...

... Took a little fall in wilderness park last night. all ended up okay except for the dislocated pinky finger on my right hand. you can race with a bum pinky, right? didn't some NFL player cut part of a finger off so that he could complete the game recently? if so, i can easily handle this!

gotta' be careful out there!

Sorry to hear about that finger, MG! Did you jam it?

My advice is to make sure you keep that splint on. I still have a bent ring finger from a june accident! Now the finger has been added on to the rest of my therapy; I am quite the project, ha!

i washed the front end on my cx bike, and my hand drove directly into the ground (which was super dry/hard). the finger dislocated to the side, and then snapped back forcefully when i tried to close my hand. it's all swollen and purple around the small joint on the finger.

i agree on keeping the brace on. i just hope i can make it work to race this weekend still. i'll be super bummed if i can't make that work...

how's your recovery coming? good i hope.

thanks hot stuff!

Ouch! Snapped and fingers should just be used together for keepin' a beat!

Yeah, might be tough racing with that finger. But you might be able to make it work, better that finger than the thumb, index or middle. I guess you'll just have to see.

Recovery is coming along fine, slow but sure. Hope to start therapy on the shoulder/arm next week, pending the doc''s approval tomorrow. Then i'll be riding in no time!

see ya this weekend (;

geez... it's been a hard season for you anne. luckily you'll be back on the bike for the best part of it -- fall riding! woohoo!

i went home over lunch, and tried gripping handlebars. of course it's different actually controlling a bike, but in my bike room, it didn't feel too bad. i think there's hope for this weekend.

see ya' saturday!
