CX Frame for Sale -- Salsa Chili Con Crosso -- SOLD!

Looking for a new 'cross rig? If you're around 6 feet to 6 feet, two inches tall, you couldn't do much better than this super cool 2010 model year Salsa Chili Con Crosso frame. It's a size 55 in Salsa's sizing for that particular frame, which corresponds (roughly) to a "traditional" 58cm horizontal TT road/cross frame.

When you enlarge this picture, you can see the one scratch in the frame (from mud on the rear tire rubbing the left chainstay during the Jingle Cross last fall), which has been touched up. With a wheel/tire installed, it's virtually impossible to see.

Flattened chanstays and seatstays give a super smooth ride quality. Without looking, it's tough to believe you're riding an alloy-based frame. The Chili Con Crosso is made from Salsa's Scandium tubing, which is a Scandium-enhanced 7000-series alloy.

Super clean welds throughout the frame highlight its quality... The Salsa LipLock seat collar is included.

A reinforced headtube is plenty strong. More sweet welds too... Oh, and this one is being sold without fork. It'll work well with any of the current generation of carbon 'cross forks though. I was running an Alpha Q QS20, which was a nice fork (not the best ever, but a good fork).

Pepperman says you need a new bike!

Leave a message or give me a shout if interested. First $300 (plus any applicable shipping) steals the show... (Update 8/18/10: Frame is sold.)

Thanks for looking!

Dude I'm 6'1". If I had fork, I'd be VERY tempted. Also anxious to see what the Pepper peeps roll out soon.

Thanks Jason -- If you're able to find a fork that'd work, let me know. But that said, I do have a couple of local folks interested as well, so if it doesn't work out, no sweat.

My new Ti La Cruz frame should be here today... Yeah! ;-)

Cheers,
MG
