Thanks Matt! My Mom is super stoked too... It took her a while to warm up to the beef gravy brown, but now she's totally on-board. I've always wanted a brown bike, so I have to admit to being a bit jealous... but I'm more than stoked for her, because this is absolutely the bike she needs for the type of riding she does. She rides the Oak Creek trail and other rail-trails like the Cowboy Trail, and will hit the gravel roads every so often, so this will be just the ticket for those adventures. You gotta' love the CrossCheck... Until the Fargo came along, it was the most versatile bike in the world. Now it's a close second, and it's still probably #1 on the cool-o-meter.
Thanks again brother... I'll give you a salute when I'm rollin' by on my way to Moab Thursday. We're headed out for JP's "bachelor party" this weekend. Should be a fun time!
MOAB! Wish you could stop & pick me up! I've yet to ride there, just Fruita, as your cruising through Paxton area look north to the hills & think...GRAVEL, that's where I've been riding about dusk to dark thirty with my new light, I LOVE IT!
Brown bikes are cool, I've got the skid-mark brown KM & am rather fond of it, though it took me a little getting used to at first, your mom should be stoked to own a nice CC like that.
Matt, I hope you're able to get out to Moab sometime soon, but honestly, Fruita is just as good and has more singletrack for your singletrack ridin' dollar... It's where I prefer to ride if I have my choice, but the group has decided Moab is where it's at this year, so we're making the extra drive down to Utah. It'll be sweet, no doubt.
Chad, I'm lookin' forward to hitting some of that singletrack you're talking about with you soon! Keep it buff for me, OK? I know you will... Have a great weekend!
And Steve, my friend... Thanks for the kind words. I was just out on your blog and saw those super sweet Stronglight cranks you're putting on the LaCruz -- holy cow those are cool!! WOW! I don't think I've ever seen those cranks before. Incredible... That bike is going to be sooooo cool! Speaking of nice builds... You're doing that bike up x-tra right!
