Cowboy 'Cross Sunday...

Sydney Brown's got some great images from her PCL Cowboy 'Cross race, which was a super fun event. I went out and tested my legs in preparation for next week's state championships at Pioneers Park and was pleasantly surprised with what I found. I was actually able to get on and off my bike pretty well and coming off the worst cold I've had in quite some time, I felt pretty strong. I rode hard for about 45 minutes before shutting it down about two laps from the finish and cruising it to the finish in around 8th place overall. My Monkey Wrench Cycles teammates, Nate Woodman and Jesse Petersen showed us all how it was done, convincingly walking away with the top two positions on the day, respectively.

All-in-all, it was a great day of racing. Thanks to the Brown family for hosting us on their absolutely beautiful farm for the races! I can't wait for the next time we have the opportunity to ride out there. It was awesome...

Cheers,
MG

LOL... Not in the winter. I always run the beard in the winter. Around here, it's just a cheap face mask for protection from the cold!
