Grandpa Gersib in the Grand Island Independent...

MG: I read the article. That's awesome! I can't really say what it is that draws me to these WWII stories and the men that served there, but I have always been in awe of them and the service they gave our country.

Long live the survivors of the Greatest Generation. Hooah!

My dad fought in WWII and I've had the honor to speak with many who also served during WWII and other subsequent wars. Highly encourage all that can to sit down and listen to their stories of strength and courage, simply amazing.
