My New Pixie Dust... Thanks YourMTB.com!!!

Goin' for the good stuff... You've got to try Pixie Mate (pronounced "Mah-tay") for yourself.

That whole 24 Hours of Landahl/YourMTB.com deal worked out waaaay sweeter than I ever could have imagined. We came home from work last Friday night to find a sampler box of Pixie Mate products on our doorstep courtesy of Brown Santa. It was awesome... well, not so awesome as I laid in bed at 1am Saturday morning with an amazing caffiene buzz, but dang, I gotta' say that I'm a big fan of their products. And to think I'd never tried a single one of them prior to now? Amazing!

What was equally amazing was the realization that Pixie Mate is headquartered right behind where Laura and I used to live in Boulder! They're on Table Mesa, and we lived in the condos right behind the complex their offices are in. Talk about small world. At least they live and work in a very beautiful place. I know their view very, very well. I'm thinking of it now. I have it saved in Google Earth, in fact, and go out sometimes just to get a refresher of what I used to see every morning when I walked Tucker... Oh the memories. Those were the days. I miss Boulder. But I digress. What was I talking about again???

Oh yeah, Pixie Mate... I bet they're growing -- wonder if they need a PR/marketing guy. I'd move back out there in a nanosecond. The duo that started the company have impressive credentials. The products rock. Obviously they're getting the word out. I predict they've got a winner on their hands. This is not the last you'll hear of Pixie Mate -- mark my words.

Anyone that wants a taste of the Pixie Mate goodness should drop by my pad. I'll boil up some water and we'll sit down for a spot of Yerba Mate tea -- I have four varieties available... It'll be quite nice indeed.

I'd like to send out my sincere thanks to the folks at Pixie Mate for the sampler pack. Thanks also to Steve and Walker at YourMTB.com for picking my race diary entry as the Pixie Mate "Post of the Week" for the week of September 27, 2007. And thanks to Laird Knight at Granny Gear Productions, because if it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have been able to compete in my first solo 24-hour event at the 24 Hours of Landahl in 2007, and I certainly wouldn't have had anything nearly as compelling to write about. Thanks again.

I hope everybody has a great week.

BTW -- Wilderness is really wet/muddy, and several ill-advised riders have tracked it up very badly. I'm not sure what our best approach is to get it going smoothly again, but hopefully we can start talking about it and form a game plan. Any ideas??? I'm willing to do however much work we need to do to get it into shape. The good news is that the east-side trail was good when I rode through yesterday, so once last night's rain dries, at least that side will be OK. The west side is just F-ed though...

I know what you mean I went in yesterday and left shortly after. Let me know if and when there are plans to work on it. As much as I'm in there I should help keep it in shape.

uh, are you sure it'd be a good idea to work for someone who gives you unlimited access to stimulants?
